Meteor lights up the sky over western Canada
The night sky exploded with light as a beautifully bright meteor made its way to earth on a Thursday night in 2008.
The unique part of this particular meteor is that its passage through the night sky was caught on video.
The dashboard camera on a Canadian police vehicle caught the luminescent event. The bright meteor appears at the top of the screen, and as it gets closer, the once black sky goes nearly white.
